Olsen

Established in 2005, Olsen is a DIY event that presents artists' film and video on an irregular basis, most often on Sunday afternoon at the Hyde Park Picture House in Leeds.

Olsen events are about the act of watching artists' film and video together, the social possibilities of cinema, and making available work that might otherwise not be seen.

Events feature the screening of artists' film and video (new and old, national and international), the serving of food, and occasional live performances of expanded cinema and experimental music.

Whilst Olsen events are generally orientated towards adults, open-minded parents are encouraged to being their children along. Olsen also organise occasional family events that specifically set out to engage people of all ages in the possibilities of alternative cinema.
